다큐프로그램인데도 불구하고 영상미에 사로잡히고 말았다.

추억의 짜장면

짜장면... 친숙한 중국집이라는 이름.  어렸을 적 특별한 날에만 먹다가 어느 순간 대중적인 음식이 되어 버린 지금.

어렸을 때 그토록 먹고 싶었던 짜장면을 마음만 먹으면 언제든 먹을 수 있다는 것만으로도 지금 행복하게 살고 있다고 생각해도 좋지 않은가.

지금이야  먹을 거리가 넘쳐나지만 당시에는 그렇지 않았다.

어렸을 적 4천원했던 짜장면이 지금 두 배가 되었으니 세월이, 세상이 참 많이 변했다.

세상은 참으로 빠르게 변하고 있고 사람들의 욕구도 계속해서 달라지고 있는 것을 보노라면,

내 삶의 나침반은 현재 시점이 아닌 미래 시점에 두고 살아야 하지 않을까 생각한다.

미래에 사람들은 무엇을 좋아할 것인가, 세상은 어떻게 변할 것인가.

계속 생각하고 상상하며 살아야겠다. 미래는 분명히 바껴있을테니까!

Memories of jjajangmyeon swirl in my mind like a dream. I recently watched a documentary program titled “Jjajangmyeon Rhapsody.” Despite its factual nature, I found myself captivated by its visual allure.

Jjajangmyeon—a name that conjures up memories of cozy Chinese restaurants. It used to be a special treat, reserved for particular occasions during my childhood. But somewhere along the way, it transformed into a ubiquitous dish, available anytime.

The mere thought that I can now indulge in jjajangmyeon whenever I please brings me happiness. Today, there’s an abundance of food options, but back then, it wasn’t always the case.

I remember when a plate of jjajangmyeon cost 4,000 won during my younger days. Now, it’s doubled in price, a testament to how much time and the world have changed.

Observing the rapid pace of change and the evolving desires of people, I wonder if I should set my life compass not at the present moment, but toward the future.

What will people enjoy in the future? How will the world transform? These questions occupy my thoughts as I continue to imagine and live. After all, the future is bound to be different.
